Weather Retorts

This group of poems is about the weather and/or the seasons that rule it.

Fringe of lunacy

Gravity hurls earth toward the furnace of the sun,
and pulls us toward earth’s molten core.

On her slant axis, earth turns days to nights to days

For us to spin into threads, weave fabrics,
or make carpets that show the moon to the sun.
