To get away from the sturm und drang of the tourist infestation that irks most denizens of the Berkshires every summer, head for any of the many locales that put the Berkshires on the tourism map in the first place! In the midst of the hottest stretch of the summer, we practically had the chill of Ice Glen all to ourselves, and so too yesterday with stunning Benedict Pond in Beartown State Forest.
