To do, upon the restoration of the United States of America to governance by honest women and men:
1. Establishment of an Office of the Public User. This cabinet-level office shall develop and promulgate standards of usability that must be met before any product or service can be made available for purchase/subscription in the U.S.A.
For purposes of e-commerce, there will be a telephone component that requires a telephone number to be as prominent as any part of the sales-funnel, which shall be answered by a person competent to effect a sale or cancellation, within five minutes.
2. Remove from colleges and universities courses of study that propose to make the student a better practitioner of any of the “fine arts.” We can sell this as the full-employment program for poets and painters and sculptors and playwrights, none of whom learned a goddam thing about their art in a classroom, but who now may be hired to teach the wastrels of the rich a thing or two!
3. No amount of cleaning, nor an ocean of disinfectant, will restore the White House to a condition fit for human habitation. I say we all walk away from it on January 21, 2021. Same for the flag – little more than a Trump banner now. Let’s pass a bill that declares the current design null and void, then grant statehood to the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico and get to work on a new national standard, that will be protected from abuse. It’s only proper use is connected to federal installations and organizations.
Let’s invalidate Trump’s lease on the old post office and build a new presidential residence. And, let’s build the new place with hired workers, not slaves. We should have punished the English after they burned the original White House; our failure to be properly assertive with them only encouraged them to meddle in our Civil War, on the side of slavery.
