Polemic

We are Champions

We, the persons, shall be known by how
we get off, instead of by names that speak
of our conception.

Neither woman nor man, we are invention,
inspired by experts in lab coats,
and therapists in casual attire.

There are so many good jobs in our being
begotten by art, not sperm and egg,
that we are the champions of consumer culture.

Honeyboy Andre Meade
