Polemic

The Left isn’t Right, Emerson Is

Duopoly politics has swallowed us
as sure as monarchy made us, we
people who cut chains of servitude

To liberate everyone of us, we who
volunteer to make America resume
the upward path abandoned when we

fell for the siren song of foreign war,
the only tool of tyrants, who only rule
with lies, spies, and hired assassins.

But now, big tech has us under its massive
breaking news thumb, we’ve become its plush
toy, its mechanical text erases our dreams.

Mine eyes have seen the glory, but my hands
no longer write, they only hold devices that
spit out emojis, false copies of real life.
