Money and democracy are tools, not ways of life
By Dave Read, Lenox, MA, August 8, 2025 – Socialism is the true and proper end of capitalism. Unless regulated by society, capital is a thing without a soul, a hole in the universe into which wealth flows, to be melted into gold, which serves and worships only it’s lifeless, cold self.
Today in America, gold worship has become the religion of rump partisans, republicans cloaked with the stolen mantle of honest and brave Abraham Lincoln. They lied, bullied, cheated, and bought their way into office, with the assistance of the foes of the American republic’s ideal of government of, for, and by the people.
Because the slavery-dependent plantation model of capitalism, as perfected by the aristocratic monarchies of England and Europe, was targeted for extinction by America’s first Republican president, he was killed by an anti-social coward with a gun.
Tim Apple now has slithered into the vault of his orange-domed master, on his yellow belly, bearing a tribute of bullion. All but the willfully ignorant know that Apple’s wealth was squeezed out of enslaved Asians, people who dream the same dream read about at the base of the Statue of Liberty. Her torch used to signal welcome, but hisses now, like a blowtorch, under the tiny thumb of America’s fake king.
Capitalism and democracy both are tools that may be used to either bolster or destroy the republican form of government that Mr. Lincoln lived and died for. With our fraternal slaughter well underway, one month before he issued the Emancipation Proclamation, President Lincoln warned that, once united, America is “the last best hope of earth.”
Eight generations later, fake republicans await their new Moses, who will raise them off their knees and turn them away from their gilded idol, the gold-drunk felon who they know is full of $hit.
