Ars poetica

The meteoric rise in the academic sanctioning of poets since the 1970s has made "ars poetica" one of the things never far from my mind.

Out the Window: June 23, 2019*

How amusing, a hummingbird
resplendent in tan and gray
pivots at the feeder, and

Gone

Toward the old Wharton place –
a few miles away.
