The Gravest Show on Earth

Thin as layers of honey-soaked pastry
are the tenets of the republican creed.

It won’t sustain the masses, drawn by an
urge to pay their way to the rally, where

They become unpaid, unknown, non-union
extras in the gravest show on earth,

Since Steamboat Willie was merely a
figment in Walt Disney’s imagination.
