  • About me

From the Book of Young Dave, the Elder

In the beginning was the impulse
of thought, which fermented between
human ears for heavy years

Before it would overflow heads,
spill off tongues, and be broadcast
through the air, to all within earshot.

Soon enough, the miracle of talk led to the
mining of gold, then, straight to the training of
bankers, lawyers, and gunmen, which hints that

The way out from the dark cave between our ears
and into the light of society, is to follow,
not academic pros, but poets.
