Savoy Town Hall

The small school system in Sandisfield has merged with Otis to form the Farmington River Regional School District, which provides a skiing program during the winter for the students sponsored by the P.T.O. The Sandisfield library and community center along with the town hall and new firehouse, comprise important community resources. The town is the largest by land area in Berkshire County, and eighth largest in the state.

    Your elevation is wrong…..

    Sandisfield is awfully cold and icy in winter and I have recorded elevations on my Garmin GPS; at about 1800 feet about sea level in most places. This past March 2013, was so delayed and late that Sunday March 24th, I seen fresh snow with blowing drifts of snow and all Lakes iced over and people fishing on them, when in Hillsdale, NY there was no snow what so ever left and lakes were clear ! Growing up in Connecticut my whole life I was almost shocked ! Thats’ a difference you would only see in New Mexico in the mountains down to the desert or somewhere else…
