Owl Song

Who knows the soul knows
the roof of human kindness,
knows the floor of indignation.

The soul knows how to balance
innate pride with enough sympathy
to keep -cides from the collapse of soulfulness.

It’s known the soulful swear off homicide,
patricide, matricide, fratricide; even regicide is a
bridge too far for artists to cross.
